Striving to collaboration with the neighboring community and in-house environmental activities

Participation in tree-planting
Since 2000, tree-planting in the area recommended by the government is being done, and active association with the neighbors who also provide trees as well.
  • In 2004 planted 1,000 trees in the forest of 16,000m2.
  • In 2005 planted 2,500 trees in the forest of 8,000m2.

Environmental education
  • Since 2003, environmental education for the elementary schools in the neighborhood is being done, and donation of environment-related books, presentation on environment preservation activities as well.
  • In 2005 such activities as education for three schools (170 students), gifts of environment-related books to 15 schools were done.

In-house activities

Since 2002, we have been promoting in-house Environment Week, which are posting to promote environment preservation, panel contest using waste materials and so on.

Aluminum collection and donation to the artificial limb association

Since 2001, we have been supporting artificial leg production through the recycling campaign. Collecting aluminum pull-tops we donated to the Thai artificial limb association 732kg a year (for 9,146 artificial legs).

Results of activities

Awards from the Government of Kingdom of Thailand
The Prime Minister's prize and the Energy Minister's prize were given in recognition of the business process improvement (such as participation and demonstration in the Non-CFC refrigerator project) and the activities to coexist with the society.
  • May 2005: Thai Government Award from the Prime Minister Thaksin.
  • June 2005: Thai Government Award from the Senior Vice Minister Paijit, of the Energy Department.
